Tristan Adams Photography and Videography Full Description
A wedding video is really the best way to re-live your special day. After the many months (even years) of planning, the day itself flies by so quickly. All my couples are really glad they have their wedding videos so they can look back on their day as it happened. So if you’re still not sure whether to hire a videographer, take a minute to consider the unique benefits of having your special day caught on film. You’ll truly appreciate the emotional power of video as you marvel at the reactions of family and friends as they first glimpse the bride … delight in the gorgeous detail of the dress, the shoes, the flowers … shed a tear at the vows … join in with the hugs, smiles and kisses as your nearest and dearest congratulate you, the happy couple … laugh at all the bad jokes in the speeches … and celebrate with young and old on the dance floor (watch out for those dad moves!). My filmmaking and editing techniques combined with thoughtfully selected professional licensed music work together to create your bespoke wedding videos. All those memories and moments will be preserved forever in videos you’ll want to watch time and again. The Highlights video is perfect to share online with family, friends and anyone who was unable to attend on the day. The Feature Film is a longer seamlessly edited film and showcases the full story of your day. Alongside these two creative films (Highlights and Feature) you will receive a copy of the full ceremony and speeches with audio.

What talented and superb videographers
Tristan and his Father filmed our wedding in Dorset in August 2023. In a word ‘Wow’. What talented and superb videographers. We could not be happier with the results ! We chose the full package and have all the keys elements of the day. Tristan produced a highlight feature film which again is just breathtaking ! We could not recommend Tristan enough. Capturing the special day we realize now is so so important and we are absolutely thrilled we chose Tristan and Dad team. Absolutely superb!

The day of the wedding they were exceptional
Tristan was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The day of the wedding they were exceptional. They blended in and you barley knew they were there, quietly capturing every special moment. He drove to the getting ready venue as well as our wedding venue to ensure he got everything. We were left speechless with our videos. I cannot believe how beautifully he captured the whole atmosphere of our wedding and we are beyond thrilled we chose him.

1000% worth the extra money spent
Tristan captured our wedding day beautifully. He created a stunning highlights reel that we’ll cherish forever. He blends in so well you won’t even know he’s there! I’m so glad I also have videos of the ceremony, speeches and first dance to look back on. 1000% worth the extra money spent, you won’t regret it!

We felt really at ease for the whole day
We wasn’t sure about a videographer at first but we are so so happy we decided to ask Tristan to do this for us. We hardly knew he was there for the most part and got such beautiful videos back. We felt really at ease for the whole day and such a genuinely nice person. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend- thank you so much!

What is your most memorable wedding?

Every wedding is unique and I have so many amazing memorable moments, some planned and some unplanned, I can’t possibly pick just one to talk about. So here are few of my highlights. I’ve had fire fighters arrive at Alice’s wedding at Huntsham Court and after Alice politely pleaded, one picked her up for a pose… after extinguishing a small outdoor fire of course! Alice thought the fire fighters had arrived to join in on the party! Another incredible moment was at Faye and Nick’s wedding. They are two professional stage actors and singers. During the middle of their Disney themed wedding ceremony at St Audries Park, they both along with other members of the bridal party sang a beautiful compilation of Disney songs. This performance was both incredibly captivating and very heart-warming. I’m so happy I was there to capture it all for them on video so they can now cherish these moments forever. Finally, at Laura and Harry’s wedding at Langdon Court, Harry had created a surprise dance routine for Laura to enjoy after their first dance. This routine was thoroughly rehearsed and involved all the groomsmen, the two fathers, both mothers and Harry doing the worm! To capture on video the whole routine along with the surprised reactions from Laura watching the dance is a moment I will always remember. The dance involved members from both families and is definitely worthy of being a YouTube viral video! I’m so happy to have been there to capture it all so they can look back and enjoy these memories and emotions again and again.

What about your business are you most proud of?

I’m proud of our consistence and determination to deliver the best possible and highest quality wedding videos to each and every couple that book us. I am most proud of our extensive 5* reviews from couples on our Facebook Page and Google Business Page. Each and every review means so much and we really love that our couples happily recommend us to their friends and family.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Consider the power of video. Hearing back your vows and speeches… seeing the emotional reactions of your nearest and dearest… and re-living your first dance as a husband and wife. Your videos will be one of the only things left after the big day and in my opinion the best way to relive it all. Many years later, children who have grown up will be able to watch and join in on the day. If any elderly relatives couldn’t attend the wedding, they can watch back the whole day and listen to all the important elements. My no.1 tip in your search for a videographer is to find someone who records professional audio as well as the stunning visuals (I do!). Some videographers only offer visuals to music in a short video. I strongly believe quality audio is half of what makes the perfect wedding video and as a couple, you would want to hear back those important vows and speeches from your big day.

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

I love the little details that make a wedding day very personal to the couple. It's your day and I believe you should do things the way that suit you best. For the video, I love capturing the personalised surprise gift and card from the groom, given to the bride on the morning of the wedding day. I'm sure the groom loves to watch her reactions on the video. I'm also a big fan of many other personalised elements like mini sculptures of the couples' dogs and cats on the cake or custom Lego marvel character button holes. During the wedding day, I'm always on the look-out to capture all those creative and customised details of the day.

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After initial enquiry, I send the couple a detailed brochure containing all my packages and prices on offer. I am always happy to chat over FaceTime or Skype if they wish to meet before making a booking. If they are located close by, I’m also happy to meet in person over a cup of coffee or tea! After a year or so of wedding planning and only a month to go, I always get in touch with the couple again to confirm all the fine-tuned details and timings of their day. It is at this point, if I haven’t already met them, I’m happy to FaceTime, Skype or meet up in person if they wish. It is not uncommon for myself to first meet couples on the morning of their wedding day. I’m completely comfortable with this because we would have already discussed their plans and timings in detail over email or phone call. This is usually the case when the couple are travelling down to Devon or Cornwall to get married here in this beautiful part of the South West.

What is your favourite soundtrack to put to a wedding video?

I aim to pick music that works with the footage seamlessly to amplify the mood and emotions from the wedding day as you watch it all back. Every wedding is ever so different and therefore, it is the vibes on the day, the emotions captured on video and your style as a couple that help me decide what music I license to use. My videos can vary from using orchestral instrumental tracks for the cinematic emotive qualities to using high beat energetic lyrical tracks to match your party popping wedding day.

Describe how you got into videography.

From a very young age I have always been interested in cameras. I loved taking pictures on my nan’s film camera and seeing the results after development. For my 8th birthday, I received the best present ever – a Canon cam recorder that used mini tapes! Yes – no SD cards like technology today. With this cam recorder and basic editing software, my filmmaking ambition was born. I created movies about our dog, our car and our family holidays. Yes, you read that right. I made two dog movies and a car movie. But what better way to practise your skills as a child on the things that you loved at the time! I still have these movies on DVD to enjoy and laugh back upon! Fast forward to teenage years and beyond, technology quickly developed and my dad bought a Sony HD cam recorder that had its own built-in hard drive – no more mini tapes! My dad filmed a friend's wedding and from word of mouth, filmed a few friends of friends weddings too. I helped him capture these weddings and really enjoyed it! Since then, I have gained a BA (Hons) Media Arts Degree and started my own business in the wedding industry.
