Our all inclusive packages start from £95 per person. We can accommodate weddings from 50 to 120 day guests with extra guest in the evening. The basic package includes everything you need to make your big day perfect and has been created from 60 years experience hosting weddings. The pain-free package includes a dedicated wedding coordinator throughout the planning process and a menu tasting in our award winning restaurant. On the day you get your ceremony room, welcome drinks, canapes, four course wedding breakfast, half a bottle of wine per head, function room with private bar, DJ and evening buffet and much more. We also include the bridal suite and two double bedrooms for your parents - breakfast included. There are no hidden costs and once you book with us your price will never change. Our most popular wedding package is our pain-free all-inclusive package. It is available from 60/80 to 120/150 guests and the price is dependent on the day of the week and time of the year. The package includes everything listed below with no hidden costs. All our packages are adaptable and we will work with you to find the deal that's right for you. Exclusive use of the entire hotel, our grounds and all 32 bedrooms is also available and starts at + £6000. Holdsworth House stands in three acres and offers beautiful architecture, pretty courtyards and glorious gardens. Just north of Halifax and close to Bronte Country, Holdsworth House is popular with film companies and photographers, as well as those seeking a relaxing break.

In our historic house you'll find open fires, oak panelled dining rooms, cosy lounges, fine antiques and tapestries that create a sense of history, calm and comfort. We have 32 individually decorated bedrooms all with en-suite. The bedrooms are comprised of spacious executive suites, split-level suites/family rooms, house doubles and twins. Owning a hotel is a labour of love and we are constantly refurbishing, decorating and updating our room to meet our guests exacting standards.

Wedding tastings, included in every package, are served by candlelight in our intimate 17th Century, oak panelled restaurant. There are plenty of choices in our wedding menus. Outstanding staff
Our daughter’s wedding was booked for 4th July 2020 unfortunately due to covid it had to cancelled on two occasions. However during the past two years the Staff at Holdsworth House were so supportive especially one of the managers Chris who remain totally committed to making it the happiest day for everyone. The hotel and setting are beautiful but what makes this hotel outstanding above other venues are the staff. Everyone one of them are friendly helpful and totally professional. The day was amazing all thanks to them and especially Chris and Amanda the wedding coordinator everyone of our guests said what a beautiful day it had been.

Absolutely perfect.
When you get married you can expect a hiccup or two along the way with regards to the ceremony and reception, this didn't happen. We celebrated our marriage here and were delighted with the professionalism and attention to detail provided by the ALL the staff at Holdsworth House. The ceremony setting was absolutely perfect as was the reception. We cannot praise the venue highly enough and the comments we have received from our guests were equally positive. Once again, thank you Holdsworth house for making our special day perfect.

Best day ever!
I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while I don’t think this post will do it justice but I will try my best…. Me and my partner got married at Holdsworth house at the end of June just a small wedding of 16 people and it was the most perfect day we could have wished for not just because we were getting Married it’s because Amanda our wedding co-ordinator made it that way. Amanda went above and beyond on our big day nothing was too much trouble she was on hand all the way through and couldn’t do enough, every single one of our guests commented on her and how great she was, she genuinely cares about delivering an exceptional service, she’s passionate about her job and it shows! Anything you wanted she would make it happen. From initial planning of the wedding when we were first showed around by Joseph who was so accommodating and caring, menu tasting to the very end we have had nothing but a great experience. Olga who looked after us on a evening was also Amazing!!! The staff are a credit to Holdsworth house. Holdsworth house is beautiful and exactly what we wanted…. something intimate with stone mullioned windows, beamed ceilings, picturesque gardens and of course dog friendly! Had our amazing wedding at Holdsworth House this weekend and what a weekend it was. Not only is the hotel beautiful and traditional the staff are incredible. All our guests commented on how wonderful the staff were and how the delicious food was. If you want a stress free wedding, a delicious dinner, a romantic room or basically the best hotel stay every BOOK BOOK BOOK Holdsworth House it's amazing!

What an absolutely fantastic day.
What an absolutely fantastic day. From the Friday when myself and the bridesmaids got there, the reception team were brilliant. On the wedding day, Tracy, Frank and Cameron couldn't do enough for us along with the rest of the team working. We were not rushed and we were provided with time to breathe when needed.
Our day was absolutely beautiful and the food was delicious. We have had nothing but compliments from all of our guests, so I would like to say a massive thank you to the whole Holdsworth House Team.
We will be back to enjoy an overnight stay soon!

Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
Every wedding at Holdsworth House is completely unique because it's about you not us.
When the sun shines an outdoor wedding in the garden or courtyard are especially pretty. However if you're lucky enough to have a winter wedding with snow it's truly magical. We only ever do one wedding a day and we're expert at making your party feel like you're the only ones in the building. That said Exclusive Use wedding are extra special because couples can really go to town with the dressing the whole estate and creating something really magical for their family and friends.
We also had a number of beautiful, intimate weddings in our 17th stone Gazebo with just a few friends - it's utterly romantic.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
No.1 Holdsworth House Tip: Trust in Tracey. Our Weddings Master of Ceremonies, Tracey has worked at Holdsworth House for over thirty years. She's known to many brides as 'The Fairy Godmother'. She's personally presided over a thousand weddings and some how remembers each and every couple. There's nothing she hasn't seen and she won't let anything disrupt your special day. She's the Fairy Godmother for a reason! You couldn't be in better hands.
No.1 General tip: Be sure to let our wedding coordinators take the strain. Wedding planning should be fun and we can help by advising on the best timings, numbers and how many to cater for to ensure all you and your guests are happy. We're here for you from your first visit to the day itself and for every anniversary beyond. When you get married at Holdsworth House you become part of our family.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
We're a dog-friendly hotel so we love it when couples bring their pooches as ring bearers, or just to be part of the ceremony. We see some dogs wearing bow ties or corsages to match the wedding colours, it's fabulous!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Our luscious lawn, historic trees and beautifully maintained parterre gardens with the hotel's fairy-tale facade in the background. Stunning in the Yorkshire sunshine and truly magical in the snow. It's every photographers dream venue.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Lots! From The Beatles and Jane Mansfield to Jamie Oliver and Derek Jacobi. We've hosted plenty of actors, film directors, musicians, comedians. They all stay here when on business in the area. We've had lots of filming here too because it's so pretty - most recently BBC's Last Tango in Halifax, The One Show, Ackley Bridge, Jamie Oliver's Great Britain.
What’s your favourite canapé?
Too many to choose from but the Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and horseradish sauce is divine!
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Our pulled pork burgers are incredible but can you really beat a bacon butty!?
What is your venue's most unique feature?
It's grade II listed Jacobean facade dating back to 1633. (closely followed by the mullioned windows, beamed ceilings, stone fireplaces, creaky floors and Colonnade Courtyard!!)
