What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
It's your day so do it your way. Each wedding I have had a the pleasure of working on has been a true reflection of the couple's personality and values. I particularly enjoy those moments during the planning process when a couple dares to try something different or unexpected. I love the familiarity of tradition as much as I enjoy the desire to be bold in wedding design ideas.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
It begins with a free consultation in person or via videocall where my priority is to get to know you , your style and your story. I am both a wedding planner and event designer , so the look and feel of your wedding is as important as the running of the day. Thereafter, if I am helping you with decor only or full planning - I will create visual mood boards to get down to the final decor plan for the wedding and choose the right suppliers for your look and budget . If I am stepping in to help you with a few weeks to go , I'll meet with you for a consultation to get an understanding of your expectations for the day, I will then contact all suppliers and manage the delivery of the day for you. My services are all bespoke so please do get in touch regardless of what stage of your planning journey you are.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve been asked to plan?
An elopement but with the frills of a modern city wedding. My couple were based abroad (he in USA, she in Switzerland) their love story began in London, so they decided they wanted to get married here with just 2 witnesses. I handled the logistics, civil ceremony , a car and photographer for the day, I also booked a private dinner space for after their 'I do's', with a table set beautifully to mark the occasion. I'd been with them every step of the way in planning this and it was a real pleasure to see their love story.
