My aim? To catch both the headline acts - your vows, your rings, your speeches - to the ‘blink and you missed it’ moments: when the father-of-the-bride hides a tear; when the flower girl up ends the confetti on the page boy; or when your cousin grabs the cheesiest slice of pizza.
In order to get you the very best coverage of your wedding day, I will always make time in the planning stages to have a chat with you to find out more about you as a couple and what to expect from your plans. I build my coverage around this, from your preparations in the morning to your ceremony, reception and party.
It’s very easy to get completely swept away with everything that is going on, so I tend to suggest to my couples that they might like to factor in a short break where I can take the 2 of you off for an informal ‘photoshoot’. I use inverted commas here as I won’t be barking directions at you or getting you to hold uncomfortable poses; rather, I will find you a secluded spot and allow you to catch up with each other in the midst of the beautiful busyness of your nuptial, soaking up the realisation that you’re actually married! I use this time to get some candid images of the two of you in a moment of peace, with only very gentle direction (if you need it) to bring you some portraits of your natural chemistry.
