What is your most memorable wedding?
Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! Every wedding is so special and unique, but if I had to pick one that really stood out, it would have to be the wedding of Sophie and Rob. Their love was so infectious, and their families were just the sweetest! However, every wedding is memorable because I get to capture the love and joy of two people becoming one.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
My No.1 wedding planning tip for couples is to prioritize what is most important to them and build their wedding day around that. Whether it's the venue, the food, or the entertainment, having a clear vision of what matters most will help couples make decisions and stay focused during the planning process. It's also important to remember that the wedding day is ultimately about celebrating the love between two people, so keeping that at the forefront can help alleviate stress and ensure that the day is meaningful and memorable. Finally, it's important to hire professionals who align with the couple's vision and can bring their wedding day dreams to life. A good photographer, for example, can capture those special moments and turn them into lasting memories.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
I have seen many beautiful and creative personal touches at weddings, but one of my favorites was when the couple incorporated their love for travel into their wedding decor. They had vintage suitcases as props for their engagement session, and then used them as card boxes and table decor on their wedding day. The table numbers were named after cities they had visited together, and they had a map where guests could pin their own favorite travel destinations. It was a wonderful way to showcase their personalities and love for adventure, and it made for some amazing photo opportunities! I always love when couples find unique ways to incorporate their interests and personalities into their wedding day - it makes it all the more special and memorable.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
When an enquiry comes through, I get excited to connect with the couple and start getting to know them! From there, we'll start our communication through email. I know that planning a wedding can be stressful, so I make sure to respond quickly and thoughtfully to any questions or concerns they may have.
The next step is setting up a consultation meeting, which I like to do via video call. This is a chance for us to really get to know each other and for me to learn more about the couple's vision for their big day. We'll discuss their timeline, any special requests they may have, and go over the different package options available. I love hearing about all the little details that make their wedding unique and special.
Once the couple has chosen a package and we've agreed on the date, it's time to get things officially booked and lock in the date! This is always an exciting moment, and I feel grateful to be able to share in this special occasion with the couple.
As the wedding day draws closer, we'll have a final consultation to go over all the details one last time. This is a chance to make any last-minute adjustments or changes, and to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
Finally, the big day arrives! I always arrive early to set up and get familiar with the venue. From there, it's all about capturing those special moments and memories as they unfold throughout the day. I work closely with the couple and their vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly, and I always strive to be a calming presence amidst the excitement and energy of the day.
Overall, my goal is to create a seamless and enjoyable experience for the couple, from our first communication all the way through to the wedding day. I feel honored to be a part of such a special day, and I'm committed to making sure that every moment is captured beautifully and thoughtfully.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
I believe that every couple should take a photo that captures their love and connection in a candid and authentic way. While there is no one specific pose or shot that every couple should take, I always encourage couples to take a moment to breathe and be present with each other during their portrait session. When couples are relaxed and focused on each other, I am able to capture natural and genuine moments that showcase their love and connection.
One photo that I particularly love is a close-up shot of the couple holding hands or touching foreheads, with their eyes closed and a soft smile on their faces. This type of photo not only captures the intimacy and emotion between the couple, but it also serves as a reminder of the love and joy they felt on their wedding day. Ultimately, the most important thing is for couples to feel comfortable and true to themselves during their photo session, so that the photos reflect their unique personalities and love story.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing some truly original and creative moments for my couples. One of the most fun and unique photos I've taken was at a wedding where the groom was a big fan of George Michael's iconic "Faith" music video. To pay tribute to this classic 80s hit, the entire wedding party donned aviator sunglasses and posed for a group photo.
The result was an epic and unforgettable photo that perfectly captured the fun and energetic spirit of the wedding day. I love when couples incorporate their personal interests and passions into their wedding celebrations, as it makes for truly memorable moments that will be cherished for years to come. This photo is a perfect example of how a little creativity and humor can go a long way in creating a truly unique and special wedding day.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
I've seen my fair share of rainy day weddings, and while they can pose some challenges, they can also be incredibly beautiful and unique. The key is to be prepared and to embrace the weather rather than trying to fight it. Here are some tips I recommend for a rainy day wedding:
Have a backup plan: It's always a good idea to have a contingency plan in case of rain. Whether it's an indoor ceremony or a tented reception, having a backup location can provide peace of mind and allow you to relax and enjoy the day.
Embrace the rain: Rain can actually create some beautiful and romantic photo opportunities, so don't be afraid to venture out into the elements with your photographer. Bring along some colorful umbrellas or rain boots for a fun and playful touch.
Lighting is key: Rainy days can mean less natural light, so it's important to have a photographer who knows how to work with artificial lighting to capture beautiful images in any conditions.
Keep everyone dry: Make sure you have plenty of umbrellas on hand for the bridal party, family members, and guests. This will help keep everyone dry and comfortable throughout the day.
Don't stress: Remember, the most important thing is that you're marrying the love of your life, and rain can't dampen that joy and excitement. Embrace the day as it comes, and know that your wedding photographer will be there to capture all the special moments, rain or shine.
While rainy days may not be what you envision for your wedding day, with a little preparation and flexibility, they can be just as magical and memorable as a sunny day.
Describe how you got into photography.
My journey into photography began with a love for capturing beautiful and meaningful moments. I was always drawn to the art of photography and the way it can capture a moment in time and preserve it forever.
I started by taking photos of friends and family, experimenting with different angles, lighting, and composition. Eventually, I began to realize that capturing weddings was my true passion. Weddings are filled with so much love, emotion, and beauty, and I found that I had a natural ability to capture these moments in a way that was both artistic and meaningful.
