Describe your typical process with a couple.
I like to meet with couples for a consultation. Here we can have a nice chat over a coffee or a beer :D
During the consultation i love to hear about the couples plans for their big day and run through how i can help them with capturing their day exactly how they want it captured.
If the couple is happy and would like to go ahead with the booking a £200 deposit is required with a signed contract to book the date.
A month before the day i like to meet with the couple again to run through final details of the day and make sure we all know whats happening so the day can go without any problems or stresses.
After the wedding i will edit photos as we discussed throughout the consultations. Then deliver them as per the package booked.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
Every couple is different, the No.1 photo i think every couple should take is up to them. During consultation we will go through this in detail to help me understand what the couple truly want. I believe its really important for a wedding photographer to truly understand what it is the client wants. Otherwise every wedding will be the same.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Every client is different and value different things, i love speaking with couples and hearing about their plans for their day. Its amazing how many clients don't really know what it is that they're looking for when it comes down to their photography.
After a quick chat, i always manage to get that one shot they want in detail, they're the most original images.
Describe how you got into photography.
My personal wedding photography was an absolute disaster! I was a hobbyist photographer at the time of my wedding and paid a lot of money on our photographer as it was really important to me.
However, the photos were awful and left us devastated, when speaking with the company their response was extremely rude, poor and unprofessional which made me feel even worse.
I had shot a couple of friends and families weddings at the time and vowed never to treat a client like that, i found my passion for wedding photography, spent a lot of money on courses, education and equipment and started shadowing professionals to learn how to become the very best i can be for my clients.
I then built up a portfolio and started to get bookings via word of mouth, next thing i know i am shooting weddings as a full time job with a 100% 5* review record, creating friendships with my clients along the way.
