What is your most memorable wedding?
Every wedding is memorable and most of our brides and grooms remain our friends
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
personal, whimsical, formal, inspirational, complete
What about your business are you most proud of?
The quality and style of our photography and how many couples recommend us to their friends.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Think about who you want in your photos, write a list and get your best man to make sure you get the people you want in your pictures.
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
It is always lovely to see couples with children involve their children in the actual ceremony
Describe your typical process with a couple.
After initial contact, packages are discussed and if the couple want to meet, a no-obligation visit is arranged. Previous sample albums are taken for them to view. What kind of photos they wish to be taken, and their requirements which fit in around them are discussed and if acceptable a deposit of £50 is taken to hold the date. Pre-shoot (if applicable) is discussed and arrangements made. Approx 1 month before the wedding date the balance is due to be paid when any changes can be notified or extras added.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
That certain member of the family, nanny/granddad, relation or friend that they do not see that often, or maybe travelling from abroad.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
Themed weddings are becoming more popular and are great fun. One couples little boy was a dinosaur fanatic, so we sorted out a pose, took the photo and incorporated some dinosaurs during processing, he loved it!!
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
We always visit locations prior to the wedding to take a look at where the photos are best taken and to see what arrangements can be put in place incase of rain, apart from the numerous umbrellas we always carry with us. Thats also the idea behind a pre-shoot so we can see what the light is going to be like and where the group photos can be taken, any intimate little spots for just the bride and groom and also alternatively where to take the photos if it is raining. Carry a good few umbrellas, which we do.
Describe how you got into photography.
Photography has been a passion of mine for many years. A friend was getting married and approached me regarding taking her photos for her, I agreed. I enjoyed it so much that I took myself off to college to learn about professional photography and I have never looked back. It was a passion then and is still a passion today.
