What is your most memorable wedding?
I remember every wedding that I photograph, as no two weddings are the same. Each has its own unique characteristics and personalities, and the only thing in common is the "dad dancing!"
Describe your style in 5 adjectives.
Familiar, friendly, documentary, detailed, fun
What about your business are you most proud of?
I'm proud that I've built the business from the ground in 2016 to the successful business it is now, but it still keeps the fun and heart of what I try to achieve with every session.
What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Set a budget and stick to it.... Well try to anyway!
What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?
The favourite thing at every wedding is the unique personal touches each couple brings to the event. Whether its how they met, how they are together, or even some of the unique fun sides that comes across in how they've organised the day.
Describe your typical process with a couple.
I'll look to meet with the couple to discuss what they'd like for the day, and potentially draw up a list of shots and photos that we'll look to achieve. I'll then keep in regular contact with the couple to make sure that they've not changed their mind and that I'm fully informed of where I need to be and when.
What is the No. 1 photo that you think every couple should take?
The wedding night, artfully shot with good lighting... (Only kidding)
The most important photo is the one where the couple are away from their guests for a few minutes. Not only to capture them together, but for them to take some time away to regroup, embrace the day and let the occasion sink in.
What is the most original photo you’ve been asked to take at a wedding?
I think there are original photos to be taken at every wedding. Creating that one image that sets the event apart from every other wedding is what I look for.
What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?
Grab the brolly, get out in the rain and make the most of it!
Describe how you got into photography.
I've been photographing for the past 7 years, mostly supporting the military by taking photos for the RAF Motorsports Association championships. This led me to branching out into other types of photography. The most common comment I received was "You should start a business", so I did. All this with two kids in tow and a military husband.
