"When googling connotations of Autumn, the following came up; warmth, change, maturity and prosperity. All of which I thrive to capture in every client gallery. For nothing describes a wedding more than- Change that we should embrace and celebrate."

Personal Message from the Manager

Name of Wedding Contact: Kerry Lowe
Firstly congratulations! Now the fun really starts. I know planning a wedding can be very daunting and stressful so I ensure to make sure my process is anything but. From simple to understand packages and contracts, I always aim to be as flexible as possible as I notice no two weddings are the same. My photography has a relaxed approach, focusing on you as a couple and how to get the best out of you and your wedding photographs. You'll be a priority as will your guests and your photographs.

Soooo disappointed
Booked Kerry for our wedding on the 3rd of September 2022 and paid the full balance. Kerry came and took photos from getting ready until the end of the reception. 3 months on , after a lot of phone calls and emails we still haven’t received our photos It’s so heartbreaking that you pay a lot of money and someone would do that All we have are a few photos from friends and family We have resorted to taking Kerry to court and hoping she will do the right thing

AVOID! An absolute nightmare!
I am not in the business of slating people for no reason, I will only state facts here. We originally booked with Kerry under her business name "Kaptured by Kerry" for our March 2021 wedding and we paid in full at the time of booking. Due to covid we had to postpone for 12 months. Kerry was more than happy to just transfer everything to our new date of March 2022. 4 months before the wedding and we get radio silence. E-mails are suddenly bouncing back, phone number no longer in use and no evidence of the business existing online. Finally, in January 2022, we get a message from Kerry's sister, after the traumatic loss of her Fiancé, Kerry had decided to rebrand the business as “A Touch of Autumn”. Communication resumed and our wedding came and went. I will say, Kerry did take some wonderful photos on the day. Our "Sneak peek" pictures were available online quickly and the full album was viewable by the end of April. Part of the package that we paid for included a Photobook and a USB. I chased Kerry in July (4 months after our wedding) for an ETA on the photobook and USB, she said we must select 80 pictures from the online album, we do this and let her know. August rolls around and we receive a box in the post, a USB is included and 25 individual photos. The box had the wrong name on it. I message Kerry to make her aware of the error on the box and enquire about the photobook at the same time, she assures me that she will rectify the box issue and send a new one out to us with the photobook. October, I chased Kerry yet again for an ETA on the photobook and replacement box. I'm ignored. I leave it a week and message again, I finally get a reply from Kerry's sister Molly, after another traumatic event, Kerry is taking some time off, but Molly will send the box and book out to me. I wait another week and check in with Kerry/Molly, I am told that the book was sent some time ago and the replacement box would be sent out that day. I ask for proof of postage for the photobook, once again I am ignored. End of October I send another message which gets ignored. A few days later I send another message, this time the reply comes from Luke, Kerry's Fiancé.... He says the book was sent on 3rd September, but they have put in a claim with Royal Mail and re-ordered the book. He assures me this will be a quick turnaround as the book has already been created. He tells me a day it should be there with them and that they will send it on 1st class recorded for me with the replacement box. 8th November, we receive the new box, now there’s no name on it at all. Still haven’t received the photobook. At the time of writing this, it is the 17th of November, 8 months since our wedding day. I am now being ignored again after being passed from Kerry to Molly to Luke…. Nobody seems to know where our wedding photo album is, or when we will get it, that’s if I’m lucky enough to get a reply at all. Communication has been terrible. While I am being ignored, I can see the daily updates on social media and I can’t help but wonder, if these are the next people to be sorely disappointed with who they chose to capture their wedding day. As they are in breach of contract, I am now seeking advice from Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

warmth, raw, fun, relaxed and authentic

What about your business are you most proud of?

Surviving! Considering what my industry went through in the pandemic I'm so proud, relived and happy that I am still doing what I love. I built this business with the help of my family. I have recently rebranded to include my daughter's name giving me more determination to keep building, improving and pushing through anymore obstacles that get thrown in the way! Looking back to my very first wedding to the photographs I take now, I couldn't be more pleased. Photography is a constant learning curve, always looking to be ahead of the trend which makes my job so exciting.

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Always remember who you are. It's very easy to get swept up in all the available options (you can literally have anything nowadays!) but it's important that your day represents who you are as a couple. Whether this be quirky centrepieces or props you use throughout the day, make sure there's a little bit of you in everything you do!

Describe your typical process with a couple.

The most important thing is that I know the couple before their big day. I like to know everything there is to know to fully understand how they'll be in front of the camera. Hate the camera? Do not fear, so do I so I've picked up several techniques along the way to suppress any awkwardness! Natural is the way to go! With this in mind I always suggest a face to face consultation, usually at the venue if convenient however if not then please be assured I would have done my thorough research into the best photo places! There will also be numerous emails/phone conversations to ensure I have all the details needed. Our agreement and any payment will always be documented. On the day, I'll be there for your every need- I'm also a pro at doing a brides dress up if needs be! I'll also blend into your party rather than following you around with a camera in your face. Even after the day, our agreement doesn't end. I'll keep you updated all the way and will supply your preview images within 3-4 days.

What do you recommend for a rainy day wedding?

Rain? No problem! You'll find that there's a photo opportunity within every corner you look in, whether it looks like it or not. I personally love the rain- let's grab an umbrella, a bit of back lighting and you'll end up with a gorgeous night time shot. Granted, brides with big dresses and rain don't go hand in hand unless your venue happens to have a pagoda! Also, I will always avoid the mud- once again not a great combination with a white dress! This is when I'll get creative and find the perfect location inside. Larger group shots may need to be split up but apart from this I'll ensure you'll get every photo you ask for and more!

Describe how you got into photography.

I guess I have always been a lover of the arts but there was something special about looking back at photographs I had taken. From an early age I was the designated 'holiday' photographer. That so, I'm actually hardly in any as you'd find me behind the camera! This is the still the case now. So when I got the chance to really understand the magic of photography at school, I jumped at the chance. I remember buying my first DSLR and just wanting to try out every function possible. I still get excited now whenever its time to purchase new equipment! From then, I guess it's just be an automatic progression- through school, college, university to then watching and attending further lessons online. I have tons of books and Pinterest is my new best friend (I'm pretty sure it's one of yours too now you're planning a wedding!)
