"I cannot tell you how beautiful the arrangements were, but also how efficient and lovely Laura is!" Rachael
My floristry style is natural, elegant and fairly unstructured. I like to work with what’s in season, carefully selecting the best flowers and foliage available to create natural and elegant designs that perfectly fit each couple and their vision. It’s also very important to me that my designs have as little environmental impact as possible. This means designs free from floral foam, using seasonal blooms grown in the UK where available.

Grace & Violet Full Description
Here at Grace & Violet our designs are natural and unstructured and reflect our love of flowers and the beautiful countryside surrounding us. Beautifully scented garden roses, fluffy peonies mixed with British grown blooms and luscious foliage create a wild and natural ‘garden grown’ aesthetic. We love celebrating each floral season using flowers only when they are naturally available, ensuring that they are at their most stunning and awe inspiring. From beautifully scented bouquets to large installations, every wedding is an absolute pleasure to be involved with and we are there every step of the way – from brainstorming and inspiration through the consultation and proposal, to the creation of your floral dreams for the day itself.

Beautiful arrangements
I cannot tell you how beautiful the arrangements were, but also how efficient and lovely Laura is! I had no idea where to start so I gave her a colour theme and what I didn’t like and she made the perfect bouquet for me!!

Laura did my wedding flowers, I can’t actually remember how I found her but she is like treasure. She is very sustainable and conscious of her global footprint. I had bouquets, centre pieces, buttonholes, flower girl crowns and an amazing leaves/flower arch. I would recommend Laura for any event, she is so easy to talk to and really wants to get what you want right.

We were really happy with the flowers that Grace and Violet did for our wedding, the flowers were fresh and Laura took great care and thought in creating beautiful table centres, button holes, a bouquet and a corsage. Thanks, they looked fantastic in our venue.

What is your most memorable wedding?

My first! Nothing beats the nerves of delivering that first bridal bouquet full of anticipation and hope that it's just how they imagined!

Describe your style in 5 adjectives.

Natural, unstructured, soft, romantic, elegant

What about your business are you most proud of?

Providing a truly personal service

What is your No. 1 wedding planning tip for couples?

Don't get too lost in the details - your day is about sharing your happiness with your family and the rest will fall into place

What is your favourite personal touch you have seen at a wedding?

Videos made by the bridal party for the bride and/or groom celebrating years of friendship and including a few embarrassing photos along the way

Describe your typical process with a couple.

After receiving an initial enquiry by email or telephone I usually like to meet with the couple to discuss their plans further. I then send out an initial quote, then if the couple wish to book, a deposit is paid and their date booked in my diary

What is the most interesting thing you have put in a bouquet?

Succulents!

Is there a flower that has specific symbolism that you would recommend for couples?

Peonies - not only are they beautiful but also a symbol of devotion

What is the most romantic flower and why?

The rose will always be an enduring symbol of love and I especially love beautiful garden roses with their beautiful open, fluffy, blooms.

What should you do with the flowers after the wedding?

If possible, table centres can be taken home by the guests. There a lot of options now for preserving bouquets, such as turning them into paper weights or pressing certain flowers from the bouquet.
