Le Montellier is a beautiful mansion dating from the end of the 18th century, with irresistible character and charm. This estate, located in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards, is made up of a beautiful vaulted room which will offer authenticity and intimacy to your reception, a vast terrace and a wooded park: the ideal place to celebrate a wedding, a party family, a baptism or a birthday, all placed under the sign of refinement, intimacy and sincerity.
With its “Beaujolaise” vaulted cellar, its 2 period lounges, its 6000m² wooded park and our guest rooms/gîte which can sleep up to 15 people on site, our Le Montellier guest house offers multiple places meeting and sharing.
You will find yourself in a completely exotic setting, and you will still feel “like at home”!

The exterior and vaulted room are undeniably charming, but the rooms and cottage included in the rental price make Le Montellier a very affordable reception venue compared to other venues. Furthermore, the owner was very available and accommodating (last-minute rental of a speaker, return time the following evening, which gave us time to say goodbye to our guests, we were able to decorate the room the day before, etc.) We highly recommend it.Le Montellier was the first reception venue we visited, and it was love at first sight. Describe the best wedding that happened at your venue?
It's hard to choose! But we have a very strong memory of an autumn wedding with a secular ceremony in the park, lanterns hanging in the trees, an intimate dinner in our vaulted room, and a rustic brunch the next day on the terrace. The atmosphere was magical and the guests were captivated!
What is your No.1 wedding planning tip for couples?
Start by sitting down together over coffee (or a nice glass of wine 😉) and writing down what's really important to you. This will guide you in all your decisions, without getting lost in the details.
What’s your favourite personal touch you’ve seen at a wedding?
A couple had the names of all their guests hand-engraved on pebbles as place markers... simple, natural and very touching!

Where’s the best photo spot at your venue?
Without hesitation, the large wooded park with views of the vineyards and Mont Brouilly. The light at sunset is simply sublime.
Have you had any celebrity guest or wedding at your venue?
Not yet a celebrity in the media sense, but every couple who celebrates their wedding with us is a star in our eyes 😊
What’s your favourite canapé?
A mini tartlet with candied tomatoes and fresh goat's cheese, with a sprig of thyme from the garden.
What’s your favourite midnight treat?
Lyon's pink praline tart. A local classic that always makes a splash!
What is your venue's most unique feature?
The vaulted cellar in golden stone: an intimate space steeped in history, which offers a warm atmosphere in all seasons.
What part of your business are you most proud of?
To see this family home, passed down for four generations, continue to live on through the beautiful moments of our relationship. Every laugh, every emotion shared here fills us with pride.
