In the heart of the Pays d'Auge, an extraordinary estate for the wedding of your dreams.
Nestled in the rolling Norman countryside, just two hours from Paris and twenty minutes from Caen, Domaine de Bois Roger is an exceptional 17th-century estate, lovingly restored to blend the authenticity of its history with contemporary comfort. Set within five acres of landscaped grounds, three natural ponds, century-old trees and a resident colony of storks, this one-of-a-kind venue in Calvados was designed to host life's most beautiful moments — and your wedding is the most beautiful of all.
A fully privatised estate, exclusively yours.
Domaine de Bois Roger is hired on an exclusive-use basis. For your entire wedding weekend, the estate is yours alone: its spaces, its gardens, its facilities, its team. No other event, no other family — just you, your loved ones and your memories. This complete privatisation guarantees rare intimacy and total freedom in the way you plan and live your day.
Versatile reception spaces for every moment of the big day.
The estate features two complementary reception rooms, perfectly suited to the natural flow of a wedding celebration.
The Orangery, bright and elegant, accommodates up to 150 guests seated and 200 standing. Flooded with natural light and opening onto the greenery of the park, it is the ideal setting for your drinks reception or cocktail hour.
The Barn, vast and full of character, can host up to 320 guests seated and 659 standing. With its generous volumes, warm atmosphere and integrated stage, it provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding dinner and evening celebration. The space is fully customisable to suit your decoration, theme and vision. Tables, chairs, sound system and video projectors are all included in the hire.
A historic chapel for your ceremony.
At the heart of the estate, a listed 17th-century chapel opens its doors for your ceremony, whether civil, secular or religious. Surrounded by nature, in absolute stillness, it provides a setting of rare emotional intensity for the exchange of your vows — and an exceptional backdrop for the photographs that will last a lifetime.
Generous on-site accommodation to bring everyone together.
One of Domaine de Bois Roger's most treasured assets is its sleeping capacity. The main Manor House and its three annexes — La Gare, L'Envol and Le Nid — offer up to 77 beds on site. Your guests can experience the wedding as a full weekend celebration, from Friday evening to Sunday morning, with no transport stress or premature farewells. Rooms are wheelchair accessible, and baby equipment is available on request.
The morning after — the celebration continues.
Because a wedding rarely ends at midnight, the estate offers a wealth of activities for the day after: a heated swimming pool, padel courts, pétanque, volleyball, football, table tennis and an outdoor play area for children. An indoor games room — complete with table football, an arcade machine and a projector — is also available for younger guests. All of this set within unspoilt natural surroundings, sheltered from the outside world, for a gentle and joyful end to your weekend.
A venue steeped in history and poetry.
Domaine de Bois Roger holds a unique place in French cinema history. It was here, in the estate's historic Volière, that filmmaker Jacques Perrin raised and trained the birds that would star in his acclaimed documentary Winged Migration. Today, the estate's storks still glide above the ponds, bringing an unexpected and magical presence to your celebrations.
Effortless planning, a team by your side.
The Domaine de Bois Roger team is with you from the very first conversation right through to the morning after your event. A carefully curated list of trusted local suppliers — caterers, photographers, florists, entertainment — is provided to simplify your planning. You are entirely free to bring your own suppliers. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the entire estate.
Located in Cléville (14370, Normandy), the estate is easily reached from Paris (2h), Caen (20 min), Cabourg (20 min), Le Havre (1h) and Rennes (2h20). Some dates are booked 12 to 18 months in advance. Come and discover it for yourself — we would love to show you around and start imagining your most beautiful day together.
