Description

The castle belonged to noble Lorraine families, La Tour until the 17th century then Saintignon until the French Revolution. It was then the property of several families through sales, marriages, inheritances: Gaudin, Lardemelle, Solvay, Lahaye, Aubertin families. From 1949 to 2001, the castle belonged to the diocese of Nancy which entrusted its management and operation to Abbot Albert Choné (1921-2001). Over the years, Puxe Castle has welcomed thousands of visitors for various events: summer camps, spiritual retreats, banquets, family reunions and fairs. In 2002, the Château de Puxe became the property of the SARL “Le Château de Puxe”, whose partners include members and friends of the Choné family. In the south wing, 5 guest rooms have been created. They are labeled Gîtes de France and classified 3 ears (see B&B section). In the north wing and the central building, 2 reception rooms can accommodate seminars and banquets, from 20 to 90 people (see Events at Château de Puxe section). A 3-hectare wooded park, rich in varied species, allows for strolling and discovery. In 2012, this park received the “Remarkable tree ensemble” label from the A.R.B.R.E.S. association. It is also classified "Gîte au Jardin - Parc category" by Gîtes de France since 2011. For 21 years, the SARL “Le Château de Puxe” has continued the restoration of this building steeped in history. For a stay in our guest rooms, for a banquet in our reception rooms, with our park as a green setting, welcome to the Château de Puxe!
