The property is just perfect: enough space for large group dinners, cozy corners for quiet conversations, a gorgeous pool area, and that special Andalucía atmosphere that made everything feel warm and relaxed from the moment people arrived.We celebrated our 10-year anniversary at Cortijo de los Caballos with about 70 guests (family and friends from all over the world) over a long weekend, and it was absolutely beautiful. The property is just perfect: enough space for large group dinners, cozy corners for quiet conversations, a gorgeous pool area, and that special Andalucía atmosphere that made everything feel warm and relaxed from the moment people arrived.

The planners/catering with Sana Catering, were also amazing. All the staff at the venue were so kind and lovely. We had an out of this world time and couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We lost count at the amount of times our friends/family/guests commented on the venue. Individual rooms were exquisite, the pool outstanding - If you’re thinking of getting married in Spain then this is the venue for you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ We couldn’t be happier to have everyone together in such an amazing venue. Peggy and the whole team offered outstanding service throughout our stay. All the catering was provided by ‘Sana’ and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Everything was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and very tasty. All in all, a memorable experience for all who were there. Thanks again for everything. The venue was spotless and the maintenance team are always available, an oasis with everything you desire possible . Our catering team were incredible, SANA were wonderful, we had so many compliments from our guests . The food + service was outstanding out of this world in every way. I have never experienced anything so perfect, we can’t thank you all enough for making our day so special. The wedding planners/caterers are also brilliantThe grounds themselves are immaculate - if you think the pictures look good online, it’s even better in real life. We have had the time of our life! The whole place is stunning, with unique small apartments, lush surroundings and a large, amazing pool. It’s also very kid-friendly. It was the perfect place for our wedding and family/friends holiday. Already longing back! Definitely recommend this place, it’s a 10/10! Thank you so much for having us. I was truly blown away when I saw the beauty and extent of the property. All the staff we encountered with were excellent. All professional, efficient and knowledgeable. The venue really did make our week that bit more special, not only did we host our wedding day in the venue, around 30 of us stayed for the full week between the main complex and Casa grande. Having everyone staying together, spending the days by the pool and enjoying the property before and after the celebrations created some of our favorite memories from the entire week. There are so many different areas to use, which meant the pool party, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party each have their own atmosphere. We stayed at the Cortijo for an entire week together with around 30 of our closest friends and family, which made the whole experience so much more than just a wedding. Having everyone staying together, spending the days by the pool and enjoying the property before and after the celebrations created some of our favorite memories from the entire week. There are so many different areas to use, which meant the pool party, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party each have their own atmosphere.

How far is the venue from the Airport?
The Cortijo de los Caballos is located 45 minutes from Málaga and Gibraltar airport. We have private drivers for airport pick-ups so check with us before booking taxis as they tend to be more expensive than the private ones.
Do you have an in-house planner or caterer?
We work with the amazing Sana Catering & Events who do all our planning and catering. Once you book, they will send you a list of recommended & trusted suppliers.
With how many guests can I celebrate?
We hold intimate weddings from 30 to a maximum of 130 guests. On the estate we have sleeping accommodation for a maximum of 54 guests ( with extra beds and cots).
Is the cost of the wedding day included in the cost of renting the venue?
There is no extra charge for holding your wedding at the Cortijo. You would be paying for the wedding package (i.e. the planning service and suppliers) and catering on the day. The people staying at the venue would normally share the cost of the villa rental between them and the bridal couple would pay for all the wedding day costs.
When renting the Cortijo, do we have exclusive use of the venue?
Yes, you have exclusive use of the entire property. We also have a gate with a code for privacy.
Can I legally marry in Spain?
Unfortunately, it is still only possible to legally marry in the church, and you need to be either a Spanish resident and/or Catholic for that. Anything outside of the church would be a blessing and not a legal ceremony. It would be possible to get married in Gibraltar, but we do not recommend doing this on the same day as the celebrations, most people get married the week before in their home country.
Is there a set finish time for music on my wedding day?
The music must finish at 1 am at weekends and midnight on weekdays. Please do not let the 1am finish time be a deterrent though as you are usually having events the day before and the day after the wedding. You will find this makes 1am a very natural finish time for everyone. Some brides and grooms told us they liked finishing on a high note and then being able to get some sleep and enjoy the get-together event the following day :)
When can I come to view the venue?
Viewings are on changeover days and by appointment only, please check with us before booking a flight for a viewing to avoid disappointment. During the winter it is possible to view the venue on other days or even on weekends but bear in mind that our wedding planners, only work during the week so if you would like to have a chat with one of them too, please make sure you come and view on a weekday.
We understand that the accommodation is normally paid for by the guests, how would that work?
The Cortijo is booked and paid for by the couple. How you split the cost with your guests is entirely up to you. It's uncommon for couples to cover the full accommodation, and guests don't expect it. Most couples take on a larger share, since it's their celebration, and ask their guests to contribute towards the rest.
