The current configuration was a remodel of Sir Eric Bowater’s 1940’s fishing estate, and this was Brian Dobbin’s first resort property offering of eight luxury second homes in Strawberry Hill’s beautiful grounds.
The boutique manor inn of eight rooms was upgraded during the redevelopment however the team ensured the amenities retained their traditional charm. The property included a riverside dining area and terrace, boathouse and traditional bar, and conference room all well hidden on a spectacular turn in the Humber River, which is a Class-A salmon fishing area. The addition by Brian of eight three-bedroom chalets hidden in the estate’s woodland was a success with all being sold as second homes within 12 months. Thereafter they formed part of the accommodation base for the renamed “Strawberry Hill Inn and Chalets” when not in use by their owners.
