Willie Smith's Apple Shed

Built in 1942 and full of character, Willie Smith’s Apple Shed provides a truly unique space for your celebrations - be it your wedding ceremony, reception or both. Your friends and family will feast on the regions bountiful produce along with the best local beers, wines and of course our own Willie Smith’s ciders and apple spirits, before you dance the night away! Surrounded by green pastures and old pickers huts, with Sleeping Beauty providing a magnificent backdrop, it’s hard to believe you’re just 25 minutes south of Hobart. Our Shed is not only beautiful, it’s versatile - we’ve got many different options to tailor the space for your celebration. Ceremony Lawn Ceremony Our lawn is the perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. Say your vows then enjoy post ceremony drinks while the sun sets behind Sleeping Beauty before you head inside to kick off your reception! We’ll set up eight bench seats, each comfortably fitting five people and a wine barrel for signing. Museum Ceremony The museum is a cosy nook for a beautiful, intimate wedding. Be married with the simple backdrop of rustic timber. Bench seating and chairs available plus wine barrels with the in-house AV system available to use. The museum is also a great (and easy!) back up in case of wild and woolly weather - so your ceremony can still go off without a hitch! The Apple Shed is a beautiful old space to celebrate in - whether you’d like a cocktail style night or a sit down feast. With cosy nooks for intimate chats between great friends, plenty of space for a dance floor and band or DJ and of course many a great backdrop for a photo opp!
