What happens if it rains on our wedding day?
Our venue features both indoor and outdoor spaces, providing flexibility for different weather conditions. If you're planning an outdoor ceremony or reception, our beer gardens are fully covered under guttered gazebos to keep you dry. Our team can discuss suitable wet-weather contingency options in advance, subject to availability and your event setup.
Can we arrange a venue tour before booking?
Absolutely! We'd love to welcome you to Hound & Stag and show you everything our venue has to offer. Our Events Manager can walk you through our spaces, discuss your wedding vision and help you explore the options for your special day. Simply get in touch to arrange a private viewing.
Is there parking and public transport nearby?
Yes! We offer complimentary on-site parking for guests. We're conveniently located in Arundel on the Northern Gold Coast, with easy access from the M1 Pacific Motorway. Helensvale Train Station is approximately 10–15 minutes away by car, with taxis and rideshare services available. Also, public bus transport 2 min walk up the street and gets to Helensvale Station in 12min, Southport South Tram Stop in 25min!
Can we have a DJ, live band or entertainment at our wedding?
Yes, we love a good celebration! DJs, live music and entertainment can be discussed with our events team. We'll work with you to coordinate suitable entertainment arrangements while considering venue requirements and any applicable noise restrictions.
Can we decorate the venue and bring our own wedding suppliers?
Of course! We love seeing couples personalise our spaces. You're welcome to discuss bringing your own florists, stylists, photographers and other wedding suppliers. Decorations and installations are subject to venue approval to ensure everything is safe and suitable for the space.
Do you offer wedding packages or minimum-spend options?
We offer flexible venue hire and food and beverage arrangements to suit different wedding styles and budgets. Our team can provide a personalised proposal based on your preferred date, guest numbers and chosen spaces.
Can we bring our own caterers or alcohol?
All food and beverages must be purchased through Hound & Stag Brewing Co. Our in-house kitchen offers a delicious selection of catering options, alongside craft beers, wines, cocktails and beverage packages. However, you're welcome to arrange external wedding cakes and desserts!
How many wedding guests can your venue accommodate?
Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a grand wedding, we have a variety of spaces to suit your needs. Our individual function areas can accommodate smaller gatherings, while our full venue can host large celebrations of up to approximately 600 seated guests, depending on your chosen layout.
Do you offer exclusive venue hire?
Yes! We offer exclusive full venue hire, half venue hire and private function spaces, giving you the flexibility to choose the perfect setting for your celebration. Our team can help you select the best option based on your guest numbers, style and budget.
